We think that spring may have finally come to Colorado. Yes, we’ve said it before, but we think we might really be done with snow, too. As usual, there is a lot of baking to be done, and we're excited to tell you all about it.
May the 4th
The very first Tuesday in May is the 4th. And we can’t let this day go by without paying tribute to our favorite movie series. Look for some intergalactic, out-of-this-world cookies and cupcakes in the shop, and May the 4th be with you!
Cinco de Mayo
We love an excuse to make sugar skulls and margarita cookies. We'll have these at the shop on Wednesday, May 5th. These are always a big hit, so come by and grab some early or give us a call and we'll be happy to make some for special order!
Mother’s Day
Do something special for Mom this year. We will have treats in the bakery just for Mother’s Day, but you can also order a special cake, cookies, cupcakes, or French macarons to celebrate.
National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day
May 15th is another celebration we fully endorse – chocolate chip cookies! What makes ours so delicious? It’s the sprinkle of flaky sea salt we put on top of each cookie.
National Hamburger Day
May 28th is National Hamburger Day. No, we don't make hamburgers, but we will make some fan favorites: the hamburger macarons. We'll be making hamburgers for one day only to mark this extraordinary day!
Special Delivery!
We will start a special local delivery program the week of May 21st. Delivery will be available on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with prior arrangement – we won’t be able to offer on-demand delivery just now.
When you place your order, please ask about our local delivery.
Our “local” area will be from 32nd Ave to I-70 and from Sheridan to Federal.
Summer Flavor Battle
We will have another battle to pick some of our summer flavors. Don't' worry; the Banana Split cupcake will always have a secure seat in our display case, so you don't have to worry about upvoting.
The summer flavor battle kicks off on May 11th and goes on until May 23rd. After that, we’ll announce some new flavors to get us started on our way to summer!
The battle will include these epic showdowns:
Tuesday
Peanut Butter Cups vs. Rainbow Sherbet
(Rainbow Sherbet: orange cream cheese cupcake topped with a swirl of lime and raspberry)
Wednesday
French Toast vs. Mango Pineapple
(Mango Pineapple: pineapple cupcake topped with a mango buttercream)
Thursday
Rocky Road vs. Dark Chocolate Orange
(Dark Chocolate Orange: chocolate cupcake with orange buttercream and dipped in ganache)
Friday
Drumstick vs. Berry Crisp
(Berry Crisp: berry vanilla cupcake topped with brown sugar, with vanilla buttercream topped with streusel)
Saturday
Mexican Chocolate vs. Lebowski
(Lebowski: vanilla cupcake filled with Bailey's cream mousse topped Kahlua buttercream)
Sunday
Neapolitan vs. Almond Mocha
(Almond Mocha: chocolate almond cupcake with coffee buttercream and sliced almonds on top)
