We take getting happy, being happy and staying happy seriously. And, when we hear that someone is less than happy, we have to accept that seriously, too.
Recently we heard a couple of incidents where our cupcakes and icing are dry. It was unusual, and we heard it a few times, so we knew something wasn't right.
As it turns out, the heating in our shop was causing some cupcakes in the display to dry out. As it has been colder than usual, the heat has been on more. Our cupcakes don't like it too cold nor too hot. Long story short: we identified and took steps to fix the problem.
If you had a dry cupcake in the last few weeks, we hope you'll accept our sincere apology. Also, if you come by our shop and let us know about it, we'd be happy to replace a cupcake you had that was not amazing.
We do bake cupcakes every day, sometimes multiple times a day. The cupcake you are buying today was made today. That is not only a promise, but it is also a fact. We don't store cupcakes overnight to sell the next day. In fact, we donate them to our good friends at We Don't Waste (Read more about them here). If you buy a cupcake today and want to eat it tomorrow, please ask us, and we'd be happy to guide with some storage recommendations.

When you come to visit Happy Bakeshop, your experience should be beyond happy. We are delighted to have you in the store, glad to answer your questions and happy to make your experience the best it can be. Anything less than that is unacceptable. Should you ever feel like you didn't get that experience, we want to know. And we hope you'll let us know if that ever happens.
